The Corinthian Chamber Orchestra open's their Christmas concert with Stravinsky’s famous nod to Tchaikovsky - his sparkling ballet suite The Fairy’s Kiss. The orchestra is delighted to welcome Wilfred Driscoll to perform Vaughan Williams’ charming Tuba Concerto, and this is followed by Gershwin’s ever-popular Rhapsody in Blue, for which Simon Callaghan returns as soloist after his triumphant performance of Rachmaninov’s 3rd Piano Concerto with CCO last May. The evening is rounded off in true festive spirit with Leroy Anderson's Bugler's Holiday, Sleigh Ride and Christmas Festival.
