Our May concert pays musical homage to the close friendship that existed between Dvořák and Brahms. Dvořák's serenely beautiful Serenade for Strings - one of his most popular works - is framed by Brahms's muscular Tragic Overture and his glorious and long awaited First Symphony. Thomas Kemp, who conducted a highly acclaimed string concert with CCO in 2013, conducts.
