Jill Morton, piano

Jill Morton is fast becoming recognised as one of Scotland’s leading pianists. Her concerto performances have taken her to all the major concert halls around Great Britain and have received rave reviews.

Jill performs regularly as recitalist and chamber musician in venues across the country. She has performed on numerous occasions with the Edinburgh Quartet including a series of concerts at the 2005 Loch Shiel Spring Festival. She was chosen to be part of the highly regarded Countess of Munster Recital Scheme both as soloist and duo partner. During her time of study, Jill was awarded the Guildhall School of Music and Drama’s prestigious Concert Recital Diploma (Premier Prix) and following this, enjoyed a very successful time as pianist in residence at the Banff Centre for the Arts in Alberta, Canada.

Jill is also highly respected as a teacher. She has given masterclasses and recitals at Moira House School for girls in Eastbourne and is a visiting Master Tutor at the Aberdeen City Music School. Jill currently holds the position of Head of Keyboard at the Perse School for Boys in Cambridge.
