- Cello and piano very badly (the piano, that is.)

- Aged 11.

- Since December 2004.
- What has been your favourite CCO concert?
- Easily the Brahms 3 in March 2008.
- Which piece of music do you most enjoy playing?
- Stravinsky's Dumbarton Oaks.
- If you could take a recording of one piece of music to a desert island, what would it be?
- Glenn Gould – Goldberg Variations (both recordings if possible, but the later one if not.)
- Who are your musical heroes?
- Beethoven, Shostakovich, Ives, Xenakis, Ron Mael.
- When was the last time you attended a concert as one of the audience?
- About a month ago.
- What do you listen to in the car?
- I don’t.
- What are your other interests?
- Ice climbing, fishing and stroking cats.
