What do you do for a living?: Make furniture (and teach others how to.)
Tell us a little about the instrument you play? Do you play any other instrument?: Cello and piano very badly (the piano, that is.)
When did you start your musical education?: Aged 11.
How long have you been with the CCO?: Since December 2004.
What has been your favourite CCO concert?: Easily the Brahms 3 in March 2008.
Which piece of music do you most enjoy playing?: Stravinsky's Dumbarton Oaks.
If you could take a recording of one piece of music to a desert island, what would it be?: Glenn Gould – Goldberg Variations (both recordings if possible, but the later one if not.)
Who are your musical heroes?: Beethoven, Shostakovich, Ives, Xenakis, Ron Mael.
When was the last time you attended a concert as one of the audience?: About a month ago.
What do you listen to in the car?: I don’t.
What are your other interests?: Ice climbing, fishing and stroking cats.
