On a cold Saturday morning in February 2007, the orchestra packed-up their instruments and headed for the Yehudi Menuhin School in Cobham Surrey to lay down the tracks of their first recording.

The orchestra spent the whole weekend at Menuhin Hall with producer and editor Rachel Smith (Ophelia Productions), and recording engineer Peter Newbie.  After many hours of intense rehearsal, the orchestra produced exciting recordings of Schubert’s Symphony no. 8 'Unfinished' and Beethoven’s Symphony no. 7.

One of our motivations was to create a record of a performance with Alan Hazeldine, at the time living with the diagnosis of terminal cancer, as a legacy of our work together.  The programme was chosen and conducted by Alan and we are very proud of the results.

You can purchase a CD for £10 either by contacting us or at the Box Office at one of our concerts.
