Sarah Blood, soprano
Sarah Blood completed her postgraduate studies at the Royal Academy of Music in the summer of 1998 with distinction. She read Natural Sciences at New Hall, Cambridge, and was a member of Clare College Chapel Choir.
Her choral work includes performances with Ex Cathedra and The Sixteen. In addition Sarah has extensive experience as a soloist including regular appearances with St John’s Cambridge Chapel Choir and the Holst Singers. She has taken part in masterclasses with Martin Isepp and Roger Vignoles at the Britten Pears School, and Diane Forlano and Robert Tear at the Royal Academy. Opera roles have included Lucia in Britten’s ‘Rape of Lucretia’ and Susan in Berkeley’s ‘A Dinner Engagement’. Other engagements have included Bach’s ‘Magnificat’ with the CBSO in Birmingham’s Symphony Hall.
