Support Us

The Corinthian Chamber Orchestra is a non-profit making organisation and is a registered charity in the UK (charity number 1125478).

It costs £40,000 per year to keep the Corinthian Chamber Orchestra running: that’s (on average) over £6,500 a concert. This is currently funded almost entirely by concert ticket sales and voluntary donations by players.

You can help us in the following ways:

Sponsor a concert

Depending upon the level of support your organisation can give, we may be able to offer you a number of the following benefits:

  • Company logo displayed on promotional material (including our website) and in concert programmes
  • Involvement in programming for sponsored concerts
  • Complimentary tickets for sponsored concerts

To discuss corporate sponsorship, please contact us.

Orchestra for hire

For a unique way to celebrate a special occasion, why not stage your own concert?
A concert can also be used to raise funds for a charity, and the orchestra can be booked for shorter performances at other events.  This may cost much less than you would expect.

Contact us to discuss your requirements.

Friends of the CCO

We are currently in the process of establishing a Friends scheme. If you would like to become one of our very first Friends, you may do so at this initial stage for a special introductory offer of £10. Simply post a cheque to the address below, and enclose the following details:

  • name
  • address
  • phone number
  • email address.

We will automatically add your details to our mailing list (which will only ever be used for publicising CCO concerts and activities) unless you specify that you'd prefer us not to.

Donations

There are a number of ways you can make tax efficient donations to us:

  • by posting us a cheque
  • by donating online
  • by making us a legacy gift in your will

Post a cheque

You could simply write a cheque payable to “Corinthian Chamber Orchestra” and post it to us at the address below.

If you are a UK tax payer, the Corinthian Chamber Orchestra can claim tax back on donations at no cost to you.  Your support is then worth around one third more to us.  Simply sign a Gift Aid Declaration and return it to the orchestra (as indicated on the declaration) with your cheque.

Higher rate tax payers can also reclaim the difference between basic and higher rate tax on their tax return, or alternatively elect to gift this further amount to the orchestra.  If you would like to gift to the orchestra the higher rate tax paid on your donation, please contact the orchestra for further information on how to do so.

Donating Online

  • Charity Choice
Alternatively, you may donate online via a secure connection provided by Charity Choice. This facility is free and CCO will receive your full donation.  If you are a UK taxpayer, you will also be able to make your donation through the Gift Aid scheme using Charity Choice.
  • CAF America
Corinthian Chamber Orchestra is also registered with, and eligible to receive grants from, the Charities Aid Foundation America.  CAF America is classified by the IRS as a charitable organisation (described in section 501 (c) 3).  United States donors are able to make tax-effective gifts to CAFAmerica and nominate Corinthian Chamber Orchestra as the grant recipient.  Accordingly, if you are resident in the USA and wish to make a charitable donation to the orchestra, you may do so by visiting the CAF website

Making a legacy gift

By remembering the CCO in your Will, you will make an invaluable and creative contribution to the future of the Orchestra.

Leaving a legacy is one of the most enduring gifts anyone can make, and is easy to do:

  • You may make an unrestricted gift which will allow your legacy to be spent in the area of greatest need, providing the orchestra with greater flexibility.
  • Alternatively you may prefer to leave a gift for a specific purpose and we would be happy to discuss with you the various options in further detail.  For example, your legacy could endow the position of Musical Director or a Principal Player's chair, support the careers of young soloists or conductors, sponsor a concert in your memory or commission a new work for the orchestra.

Simply contact us and we can advise you on the exact wording you should use in your Will or Codicil.
